Grand Isle--- Adeline D. Lavertue, 74, passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015, at a Caribou hospital, following a long illness. She was born October 9, 1940 in Grand Isle, a daughter of the late Ernest and Germaine (Levesque) Cote. Adeline work as a hairdresser and instructor in the East Hartford area for many years. She was a life-long member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Grand Isle. She is survived by: her husband of almost 55 years, Claude Lavertue of Grand Isle; one son, John D. Lavertue of Glastonbury, CT; four siblings, Rolande Guerrette and her husband Lucien of Grand Isle, Raymond Cote and his wife Therese of Grand Isle, Pauline LeBlance of Las Vegas, NV, and Ernest Cote and his wife Anne-Marie of New Britain, CT; and many nieces and nephews Besides her parents, Adeline is predeceased by two siblings, Clifford Cote and Priscilla Bois. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Notre Dame du Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Grand Isle. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday 6-8:00 PM and Monday 8:30-9:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 - 10th Ave., Madawaska. Burial will be in St. Gerard Cemetery, Grand Isle.
