Madawaska---Adrien Morneault, 87, passed away on September 3, 2022, at a Fort Kent health care facility.  He was born in St. Agatha on July 6, 1935, son of the late Leo and Catherine (Plourde) Morneault.  He proudly served for thirty-eight years on the Madawaska Fire Department, retiring as the assistant Fire Chief.  He was the happiest when he was riding his Ford tractor.  He really enjoyed spending time with his family, especially playing cards with his brothers.  Adrien is survived by one daughter, Sharon Ouellette and her husband Gene of Madawaska; four sons, Ron Morneault and his companion, Donna of Scarborough, Michael Morneault and his wife Debby of Van Buren, Allen Morneault and his wife Elizabeth of Grand Isle, David Morneault and his wife Theresa of Madawaska; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; seven brothers, Joel, Vincent, Philip, George, James, Rosaire, Richard; three sisters, Marcella, Sylvia, and Anita; his special friend, Selma Cyr; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife, Jeannine; two sisters, Robertine and Vivian.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, September 9, 2022, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm on Thursday and from 9am until 9:45am on Friday before the service.  Interment will be held immediately following the service at the St. Thomas Cemetery in Madawaska.
