Obituary

St. David – Adrien "Bee" Pelletier, 87, died peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at St. Joseph's Memory Care in Frenchville, Maine. He was born on November 2, 1934, to Patrick and Mina (Dufour) Pelletier. Adrien joined the army, served his country, and upon his return, joined his father, Patrick, and brother, Gerard, on the family potato farm. Adrien married Jeanne (Pelletier) Pelletier on February 18, 1960, and had two children, Ken and Elaine. Upon his father's retirement, Adrien and Gerard went onto farm individually. One of Adrien's greatest joys was farming with and alongside his son, Ken, for over 35 years. He also took great pride and joy in his daughter, Elaine's, accomplishments in her career in education. He loved farming and loved his family, his grandchildren, and his great-grandson. He was a devout Catholic, attended mass regularly, recognized God as his loving Savior. He was a proud yet modest, family man always willing to lend a hand or swap farming stories. He took great pride in raising quality potatoes and spent most evenings in the summer taking a ride out to the fields in his pickup. To his family, neighbors and friends, he was known as "Bee"; to his grandsons, he was Papere or Grampy; to his children, he was a selfless provider, ardent supporter, and hero. Adrien is survived by his wife, Jeanne Pelletier, of Madawaska; his son, Ken Pelletier, and his wife, Linda, of St. David; his daughter, Elaine (Pelletier) Boulier, and her husband, Bruce of Mars Hill; four grandsons; Bradley Pelletier, Jeremy Boulier, Connor Boulier, Alex Boulier; his great-grandson, Grayden Boulier; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by one brother, Anthime Pelletier and his wife, Rollande, of Coventry, Conn., and nine sisters: Marie Rose Cyr of Rocky Hill, Conn.; Cecile Lavoie and her husband, Walter, of Frenchville; Theresa Gendreau and her husband, Ronaldo, of Madawaska; Irene Roy of Hartford, Conn.;  Jacqueline Parent of Stuart, FL, Omerine Kokoszka of Van Buren; Claudette Gendreau and her husband, Claude, of St. David; Rachel Beaulieu and her husband, Normand, of St. David; Pauline Martin and her husband, Robert, of Grand Isle. Adrien was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Mina Pelletier; his brothers, Gerard and Alcide, and his sister, Anita (Pelletier) Daigle. Funeral services will be held at Saint Gerard Church, Grand Isle, Maine on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 10:00 am. The interment service will be held at the Northern Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Caribou in the Spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adrien's memory to St. Joseph's Memory Care, 426 US Route 1, Frenchville, ME 04745. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home & Cremation.
