Obituary

Fort Kent / New Canada--- Adrienne (Doustou) Daigle, 94, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born on February 15, 1928, daughter of the late James and Melvina (Theriault) Doustou. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Richard J. Daigle.

Adrienne would enjoy spending her days knitting, crocheting, and playing cards. She was a proud member of the Ladies of St. Anne. For nine years she was the 'breakfast lady' for MSAD #27 students and treated all children like they were her own; and worked for Visiting Nurses of Aroostook for nine years.

Her donuts and molasses cookies were always made with love and shared with everyone who visited her home, especially her grandchildren who she deeply loved and cherished spending time with. Adrienne lived a faithful life, striving to incorporated Gods word in all that she did.

Adrienne is survived by five children, Rena Mae Saucier and her husband Glenn of Eagle Lake, Michael Daigle and his special companion Janice Madore of Fort Kent, Mary Ann Bradeen and her husband Michael of Hiram, ME, Jenny Perreault and her husband Kent of New Canada, Kathy Doak and her husband Timothy of Fort Kent; one sister, Mary Ann Albert of Southington, CT; a special sister in-law, Theodore 'Ted' Jalbert; thirteen grandchildren, Shelly, David, Michelle, Melissa, Amanda, Jamie, Danny, Mitchell, Cody, Jan, Jenna, Logan, and Lauren; twenty great-grandchildren.

Adrienne is predeceased by her two children, Carl and Carlene Daigle; eleven sibilings, David Doustou, Cora Beland, Martin Doustou, Dora Lamarre, Philip Doustou, Romeo Doustou, Mary Jane Labbe, James Doustou Jr., Annette Lapointe, Mamie Daigle, and Carmen Talisano; one grandchild, Kristie (Taggett) Ketchen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, 10am at St. Joseph Church in Soldier Pond. The family would like to thank Crosswinds Resident Care for making Mom's last 3 years of her life so special and loved. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crosswinds Activity Fund, 480 Ridgeview ave, Madawaska, ME 04756. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
