Fort Kent---Albert Pelletier, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on November 18, 1939, in the close-knit community of Saint Francois de Madawaska, New Brunswick, Albert was the son of Emilie (Emond) Pelletier and Norbert Pelletier.
Albert was predeceased by his cherished wife, Rose, with whom he shared a life full of love and partnership since their marriage on September 1,1962, in Fort Kent, Maine. He was also preceded by his sister Berthe Caouette, and brothers Oneil, Donald, Guildo, and Yvonne, each of whom he held dearly in his heart.
Surviving Albert are his devoted children: daughter Hilda and her husband Kirk of Hiram, Georgia; son Joel of Bridgeport, Connecticut; son Larry and his husband Paul of Ventura, California; and son Donald and his wife Kim of Fort Kent, Maine. Albert was also a proud grandfather to Emily, Hana, and Nicholas, who brought immense joy to his life and were the apples of his eye. Albert is also survived by his sisters Aldea Bedard and her husband Gerard of Ste. Foye, Quebec, and Louise of Edmunston, New Brunswick, as well as his brothers Zoel of Sudbury, Ontario, Herve of The Villages, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. Each member of his family held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the time spent with them.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Albert's career was unfortunately cut short by an on-the-job accident. Nevertheless, he took great pride in his accomplishments, including becoming an American citizen and being an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and shared values.
Albert's personality was marked by his playful spirit and penchant for making others smile. He was a renowned prankster, known for his contagious laugh that could light up a room. Even in his later years, Albert found delight in his surroundings, often joking with and playfully teasing the staff at Country Village Estates. Special thanks to the compassionate staff at Country Village Estates for taking such wonderful care of Albert.
Albert Pelletier's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. He will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
His life will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 26 E Main St, Fort Kent, Maine. Interment will follow immediately at St. Louis Cemetery, Fort Kent. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Country Village Estates, 260 Dugal Drive, Madawaska, Maine 04756, a place that held a special significance in Albert's life.
