Fort Kent---Alice Blanchette, 94, passed away January 2, 2026, at a Fort Kent health care facility, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Quebec, Canada on February 16, 1931, daughter of the late Camille and Elianne (Denis) Perreault.
In loving memory of our beloved mother, who was the heart of our family, a living testament to the power of unconditional love. A strong and independent woman, she embodied kindness and warmth, always providing support to those in need. Her caring soul and motherly spirit touched everyone who crossed her path. With a quiet, deep faith, she lived her life with grace and compassion, dedicating herself to helping others. As a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her legacy of love will forever remain in our hearts.
She is survived by seven daughters, Susan Pooler and her husband Ray of Vero Beach, FL, Shirley Gosselin and her husband Steve of Topsham, Paula Jandreau and her husband Mark of Bismarck, ND, Arlene Bonenfant and her husband Robert of Fort Kent, Diane Wagemann and her husband Dennis of Glastonbury, CT, Betty Martin and her husband Denis of San Tan Valley, AZ, Sandy Collin and her husband Glenn of Fort Kent; fifteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren; sisters, Camilla Perreault of Quebec, Canada, Sr. Gemma Perreault of Quebec, Monique Damboise of Montreal, Jeannine Marquis and her husband Conrad of Quebec. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Blanchette; and six siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the St. Louis Church. Relatives and friends may offer their condolences to the family before Mass on Friday from 8:30am until 9:30am at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home in Fort Kent. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
