Madawaska – Alice Marie Phoebe (Gorneau) Morin, 92, of St. David, beloved wife of the late Fernand J. Morin, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Estates in Madawaska on January 15, 2022, with loving family by her side. She was born May 3, 1929, in St. David, the daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Michaud) Gorneau. Alice was a loving mother and wife, devoted to caring for her family and home. A full-time homemaker, managing many things from dawn to dusk. Later she worked outside the home until retirement. She is a woman of strong faith, doing everything with great intention. We cherish the precious quilts she made for each, and every one of us. She is survived by children Edgar "Pitt" (Rose) Morin, Ursula (Camille) Chamberland, Maurice (Norma) Morin, Jeannine (David) Pelletier, Solange (Edward) Leborgne, Robert "Bob" (Ruth) Morin, Marie "Nancy" (Donald) Hallquist, Diane (Rich) Annino and Joyce (Mike) Morin, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Edgar Gorneau of CT, Jeannine Corriveau of CT, Gerard Gorneau of FL and Gisele Chamberland of ME, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Fernand J. Morin of 69 years; two sons Normand and Lionel "Leo" Morin. She was also predeceased by siblings Donald, Normand, Jr., Herbert Gorneau, Nancy Manz, Patsy Pelletier and Tony Beaupre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at St. David Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. David Parish for Cemetery Maintenance. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
