Madawaska--  Allan Cyr passed away on Monday March 14, 2022 at Northern Maine Medical Center after a short but difficult battle with an aggressive lung cancer at the age of 60, and was surrounded by family.  Allan was born November 10,1961 in Madawaska, Maine. He had a passion for music, loved rock and roll, and could take apart any car and put it together better than when it came to him. Allan was a great man, and an even better father to his two daughters. He loved working hard and taking on a new challenge. Allan was predeceased by his parents Verna Cyr and Leon "Reed" Cyr, his three brothers Larry, Michael, and Roger Cyr. He is survived by his ex-wife Brenda Paradis of Frenchville, daughters Allison Cyr of Madawaska and Ashley Hensley of Madawaska and son in law Jared Hensley of Olympia, Washington, his godchild Austin Ouellette of Frenchville, his brother Richard Cyr of Madawaska, sisters Jackie Chasse, Diane Charette, Lyne Hebert and her husband Steve all of Madawaska, Ann Bagley and her husband Michael Bagley of New Gloucester, and Lise Couturier of Waterville; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Edgar J. Paradis cancer fund; or help with Allan's medical expenses, which can be sent to Allie Cyr, 112 16 ^th ave, Madawaska, ME 04756. At this time to follow Allan's final wishes he will be cremated, and discussion of a burial will be at a later time. There will be no funeral, as Allan's wish was for everyone to have a party instead on his behalf. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
