Hamlin--- Alphena M. Ouellette, 80, passed away peacefully Friday, May 10, 2019. She was born April 14, 1939 in St. Anne, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Louis and Eva (Deschene) Berube.

She married the love of her life, Alphe Ouellette, on July 25, 1955. They spent a loving 61 years of marriage together, before his passing in 2016.

She is survived by: four siblings, Lionel Berube and his wife Theresa of St. Anne, NB, Canada, Norma Belliveau of Mahopac, NY, Laurine Dupuis, and Theresa Gervais and her husband Reno, all of St. Anne, NB, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Alphe Ouellette, and three siblings, Anita Deschene, Rosaire Berube, and Gaetane Berube.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hamlin Rd., Hamlin. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
