Obituary
Van Buren---Althea "Toune" Cyr, 74, passed away on August 2, 2016 at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born in Lille on March 12, 1942, daughter of the late Dennis and Sophie (Devost) Ouellette. She is survived by two daughters, Patty Picard and her husband Glen of Madawaska, Brenda Pine and her husband Charles of Summerville, SC; one son Jeffrey Cyr and his wife Melinda of Walkertown, NC; five grandchildren, Logan, Cody and his wife Brittany, Chelsea, Taylor, and Bradley; one great grandson, Parker; two sisters, Carlene Albert of Lille, Leola Michaud of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Rudolph I. Cyr in 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12pm on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will take place at the Caribou Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
