Madawaska---Alvey Dubois, 79, passed away on November 26, 2011 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Fort Kent on October 25, 1932, son of the late Paul and Laura (Babin) Dubois. Alvey worked for twenty five years as a school teacher in Madawaska until his retirement in 1978. After retirement, he owned and operated the Madawaska Sport Shop for a number of years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in St. Agatha. Alvey is survived by his loving wife of fifty five years, Rena (Dubois) Dubois of Madawaska; one daughter, Marcia Hardin and her husband Howard of Poland, ME; one son, Philip Dubois and his wife Michelle of Madawaska; three grandchildren, Jesse Bell and his wife Sara of Easton, and Todd Dubois and his wife Sierra of New Hampshire, Josh Bosse of Madawaska; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Ben, and Lyla; three sisters, Florence Landry of Connecticut, Theresa Ouellette of Fort Kent, Laurette Chasse of Grand Isle; one brother, Paul Dubois of Van Buren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven siblings, Andre, Adrian, Bert, Alma, Emelda, Edna, and Marie Mae. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Friday, December 2 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences to the family at the church from 9am until time of service on Friday.
