Fort Kent---Alvine Daigle, 97, passed away on August 1, 2024, at Crosswinds Residential Care in Fort Kent, Maine. She was the wife of late Normand J.Daigle and was born in St. Francois, New Brunswick on July 1, 1927, daughter of late Aldéric and Léona (Landry) Gagné. Alvine had a deep love for her large family and her passing leaves a great void in the hearts of many. She is survived by three children, Judy Elwood (Gifford) of Cleburne,Texas, Sharon Daigle of Moncton, N.B. and George Daigle of Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren, Nicole Hart (Greg) of Cleburne, Texas and Ellen Pelletier of Moncton, N.B.; three great grandchildren, Ean, Rustin, and Ryan also of Cleburne; three siblings Camile Gagné ( Murielle) of St. Basile, N.B, Gisèle Gagné of Edmundston, N.B., Jacqueline Gagné( Robert Poirier) of St. Romuald, P-Q and sister-in-law Jeanne d'Arc of St. François, N.B. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edmé and Guy; and eight sisters, Armande, Jeanne, Laurence, Fernande, Yvette, Lottie, Estelle, and Alda. Visitation will be held at the St-François-Xavier church, in St-François, New Brunswick on August 16, 2024, at 10:00 followed by funeral services at 11:00.
