Fort Kent--- Amanda Bouley, 79, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, at St. Joseph's Memory Care, Frenchville, with her family at her side. She was born January 31, 1945, in Fort Kent, a daughter of the late Baptist and Eva (Plourde) Theriault.
Amanda last worked for former Princess Kent and former Gerber, Fort Kent, as a seamstress for many years. She also worked as a housekeeper for Northern Maine Medical Center. She was a long-time member of the Ladies of St. Anne, American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Senior Citizens Club of both Fort Kent and Cross Lake. Amanda was a devout parishioner of St. Louis Church, proudly earned her Cursillo, and always had a candle burning and a blessing on her lips. Amanda loved caring for her children and was the proudest Memere as her grandchildren and great grandchildren expanded the family.
She is survived by four children, Vernon Bouley and his wife Monique of Fort Kent, John Bouley of Fort Kent, James Bouley and his wife Char of Dayton, and Vicky Page and her husband Paul of Limestone; six grandchildren, Scott, Rebecca, Lance, Kassandra, Sarah, and Sam; seven great grandchildren, Kaisen, Karson, Chase, River, Crew, Kinsley, and Travis; four siblings, Aurele Theriault, Joel Theriault and his wife Linda, Sylvia Colson, and Ida Clavette and her husband Doris; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Amanda was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Joel Bouley in 2014, a granddaughter, Sophia, a brother, Sylvio Theriault, a sister, Alma Albert, and infant siblings, Leo, Patrick and Lea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday evening 6-8:00 PM and Thursday morning 8:30-9:30 AM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
