Madawaska & Van Buren--- Angeline Rossignol LaPierre, 98, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 29, 2020, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born October 9, 1921 in St. Hilaire, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Michel and Delia (Laplante) Belanger.

She was a parishioner of St. Bruno-St Remi Church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of St. Anne, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother who stayed home and proudly raised her five children. During the several years she worked, she was a nurse's aide at former Van Buren Hospital and Borderview Manor and made draperies for Plourde Furniture. Her nimble fingers sewed many clothes through the years, and she was an amazing cook that loved to entertain her visiting family and friends.

She is survived by: five children, Angelo Rossignol and his wife Helene, Don Rossignol and his wife Jeannine, all of St. David, Roger Rossignol and his wife Denise of Augusta, Patricia Dumais and her husband Don of Grand Isle, and Bob Rossignol and his wife Alma of Van Buren; two step children, Bob LaPierre of Van Buren and Becky St. Pierre of Caswell; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Angeline was predeceased by her first husband, Patrick Rossignol in 1968, her second husband, Aristide LaPierre in 2006, an infant grandson, Dale Rossignol, and several siblings.
