Ashland--- Anne T. Cloukey, 81, entered into rest peacefully Saturday, January 4, 2020, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born June 2, 1938 in Fairhaven, MA, a daughter of the late Eugene and Doris (Taper) Galligan.

Anne worked several years in Connecticut, where she met her devoted husband, Harold "Herman" Cloukey, whom she married in 1966. Following their retirement, they relocated to Harold's hometown of Ashland, where Anne was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Anne was an avid reader and loved to devour through romance novels, history books and a plethora of magazines.

She is survived by: her beloved husband Herman Cloukey of Presque Isle, formerly of Ashland; one sister, Susan Price and her husband Robert of Connecticut; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by two brothers Eugene Jr., Larry, and Ed Galligan and two sisters, Betty Peppin and toddler Peggy Galligan.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service to be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at St. Marks Cemetery, Sheridan Road, Ashland. Please follow face mask and social distancing requirements. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland.
