IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anne (Despres)
Hall
June 5, 1949 – May 10, 2025
Ashland--- Anne Hall, 75, peacefully entered into Eternal Life and into the waiting arms of her beloved late husband on May 10, 2025, at a Frenchville healthcare facility, following several years of failing health. She was born June 5, 1949 in Ashland, a son of the late F. "Bert" and Eva (Boucher) Despres, and was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1967.
Following her graduation, Anne attended and graduated from University of Maine – Presque Isle, achieving her Bachelors of Primary Education. She went right to work in her beloved hometown of Ashland as a primary school teacher, mainly teaching the Fifth Grade. She also assisted several other area schools as a substitute teacher during her almost 40 years in education. Anne was devoted to her students and spent many extra hours after school on weekends with "Right to Read" programs or just offering extra help.
Anne was an avid walker, which was invaluable because of the delicious desserts she made and shared. She also volunteered with the Ashland Food Pantry for many years and participated in many area bake sales and bazaars. During her later years Anne loved to participate with "Just Folk Singers" and the "Aroostook River Voices."
She is survived by two sons, Joel Hall and his wife Melissa of Ashland, and Toby Hall and his wife Rose of North Carolina; one sister, Patty Cyr and her husband Greg of Fort Kent; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Willow; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Larry Hall, in 2018, and one brother, Terry Despres.
