Obituary

Madawaska---Antoinette "Toni" MacWhinnie, 69, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2016 at her home in Madawaska. She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on June 16, 1946, daughter of the late Antonio and Isabelle (Levesque) Soucy. Toni loved to socialize and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, but her biggest passion was playing golf. She was a very supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by her beloved husband of forty six years, David MacWhinnie of Madawaska; two sons, Jeffrey MacWhinnie and his wife Tina of Lisbon and their daughter, Rose; Shawn MacWhinnie of Lewiston; seven siblings, Jim, Rosaire, Dolores, Germain, Linda, Stella, and Lise; many nieces and nephews. Toni was predeceased by her siblings, Emma and Denis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences to the family from 9am until 9:45 am at the church before the Service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following: Edgar J.
