Graveside Service
Fort Kent---Arlene Voisine, 63, passed away on January 20, 2026, at her residence in Fort Kent. She was born in Fort Kent on April 5, 1962, daughter of the late Claude and Bernice (Landry) Voisine.
Loved by many, Arlene was a familiar presence in Fort Kent, where she lived her entire life. Known for her playful spirit, she loved playing tricks and telling jokes, sharing her sense of humor with everyone she met.
Arlene was a talented, self-taught craftswoman who often created thoughtful handmade gifts for the people in her life. She was very sociable and enjoyed visiting with friends, neighbors, and anyone she met along the way. She had a special ability to remember people, their stories, and their names, making everyone feel valued and remembered.
She will be deeply missed, especially during community events such as the Pow-Wow and the Muskie Festival. The community will also remember her creative displays for the Scarecrow Festival, which brought smiles to many.
Arlene was predeceased by her parents, Claude J. Voisine and Bernice (Landry) Voisine, and by her brother-in-law, Roger Soucy.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Louise and Louis Bouchard of St. François, New Brunswick, Canada, Michael Voisine of Fort Kent; Christina Soucy of St. John Plantation, Cynthia and Phil Guy of Fort Kent, and Doris and John Metz of Clarksville, Arkansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
When told she was loved, Arlene would often reply with a smile, “You don’t have a choice, we are family,” followed by one of her big bear hugs. Her favorite sayings were, “Don’t worry about it,” and “It’s in God’s hands.”
A graveside service will be held on June 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who knew Arlene to share a story about her or simply honor her memory by showing kindness to others.
