Allagash--- Arlo Caron, 85, peacefully passed away October 1, 2026, at Maine Veterans Home-Caribou, following a short illness. He was born in Allagash on January 10, 1941, the only child of the late Lionel and Esther (Kelly) Caron and was a graduate of Lee Academy in Lee.

Arlo was drafted into the US Army during Vietnam. After serving overseas, he returned to his beloved woods and waters of Allagash where he became a Master Maine Guide. He was third generation guide and roamed through the woods guiding hunters, fisherman and trapping for himself. He also worked for Maine Forest Service and spent some time tending fire towers.

He is survived by two children, Gallolee Caron and her partner Jean-Claude Cassidy of Canada and Reid Caron of Allagash; four grandchildren, Esther-Mae, Elizabeth, Dominic, and Henry; and several cousins.
