Obituary

Fort Kent—Armand Caron, 84, husband of Mabel (Lizotte) Caron, passed away peacefully July 1, 2020 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born on July 17, 1935 in Wallagrass, ME, son of the late Magloire (Mack) and Veronique (Daigle) Caron. Armand left Fort Kent for a few years to work in a factory in Connecticut, and when he moved back home, he became a woodsman for J.D Irving. Later in life he started his own trucking business of 'A. Caron Logging'. He was also a 3 rd degree Knights of Columbus member. He cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which he loved spending time with. Armand is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mabel (Lizotte) Caron; five children, Diane Gagne and her companion Rejean Gagnon, Brian Caron and his wife Louise, Steven Caron and his wife Carlene, Lisa Vaillancourt and her husband Peter, and Susan Paradis and her husband Paul, all of Fort Kent; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Gagnon, Kelly Caron, Kathy Caron, Tom Caron, Troy Caron, Chad Vaillancourt, Brad Vaillancourt, Chelsea Paradis and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Normand Caron and Emile Caron; one son-in-law, Rosaire Gagne; one granddaughter, Jessica Caron; one great-grandson, Tucker Caron. Interment will be held in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Fort Kent on July 6, 2020 at 9:00am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
