Frenchville/Madawaska --- Armand R. Corriveau, 72, passed away on September 10, 2017 at a Bangor health facility.  Armand is the son of the late Rosaire and Jeannette (Dube) Corriveau. Armand worked at Fraser Papers for 36 years until his retirement in 2003.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and an active member of the American Legion Post #147 for 35 years, of which he served as Past Commander. He was a 3rd & 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Madawaska for over 30 years, having once served as Grand Knight in past years. Armand had a passion for sports. He loved to go fishing & hunting but his number one passion was golfing.  He loved to play cards and pool with his friends.  He loved to sing and willingly shared his beautiful voice, especially with the residents at Assisted Living facilities in the area.  He was a member of the Folk group at St. Thomas Aquinas for over 30 years.  He served his church also by serving on team for the Cursillo Movement and the ACTS Retreats. He will be fondly remembered for his famous "Chocolate Chip Cookies."    He loved to bake his sweets and willingly shared with his family and friends who were most appreciative. Even though, he was busy with all the above, his priority was to spend time with his family that he loved dearly. Family gatherings at his home were a pleasure and cherished by him. He is survived by his loving wife Raymonde of 52 years and his five children; Peter Corriveau and his wife Lisa of Madawaska, Michelle Beaulieu of Madawaska, Brenda Chamberland and her husband Joel of Frenchville, Steven Corriveau and his wife Shannon of Sanford, and James Corriveau of Alabama; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five siblings; Claton Corriveau, Eva Nichols, Michael Corriveau, Rosemarie Caldwell, and John Paul Corriveau.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, September 15, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday.  There will be no visitation Friday morning.  Contributions in Armand's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, Founders Affilate, 51 US Route 1, Sutie M, Scarborough, ME 04074 or the St. Thomas Aquinas Memorial Fund, 309 St. Thomas St., Suite 103, Madawaska, ME 04756.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
