Madawaska---Arthur L. St. Amant, 85, passed away on August 19, 2013 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Van Buren on September 8, 1927, son of the late Arness and Emily (Madore) St. Amant. After his retirement, Arthur and his wife enjoyed spending time together, while traveling. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jennie (Boilard) St. Amant; one sister, Noella Nadeau of Ontario; two brothers, Nelson St. Amant and his wife Therese of Ontario; and Paul Emile St. Amant of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Roland and one sister, Lucille. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, August 21 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. At Arthur's request, there will be no visiting hours. Burial will be held in the parish cemetery immediately following the service.
