Oxbow--- Audrey G. Young, 88, peacefully entered into rest Friday evening, November 8, 2019. She was born June 10, 1931 in Oxbow, a daughter of the late Ray and Eldora (Libby) Grass.

Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cherished raising her children, and adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her caregiving never wavered and during her younger years she assisted many local, elderly residents in their homes, so they could continue to live independently. She excitedly attended many of her grandchildren's soccer games or she loved spending time at her home, where she enjoyed many visits from family and friends. She liked to tend to her flowers and feed her feathered and furry friends, the birds and deer, whom always knew Audrey had a heaping handful of birdseed or wheat bread.

She is survived by: six beloved children, Terry Young and his wife Nonnie of No. Branford, CT, Thomas Young of New Hartford, CT, Laurie Wyman of Eagle, ID, Barbara Newman of Sandy, UT, Randy Young and his wife Nancy of Presque Isle, and Dorothy Burtchell and her husband Steven of Westfield; 16 loving grandchildren; many cherished great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband of almost 40 years, Lawrence Young in 1988, two sons, Timothy Young in 1980 and infant Johnathan Young in 1969, and four brothers, Dwynal, Keith, Brian, and Raymond Grass.

In keeping with Audrey's wishes, a Celebration of Life was held privately at the convenience of her family. Arrangements were a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland.
