Grand Isle---Azilda Levesque, 94, passed away on December 28, 2016 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in St. David on February 1, 1922, daughter of the late Victorie and Anna Cyr. She was a communicant of St. Gerard Church and a lifetime member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Azilda truly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by four sons, Eldon Levesque, Norman Levesque and his wife Jeannine all of Connecticut, Lionel Levesque and his wife Geraldine of Portland, Raymond Levesque and his companion Danielle Cote of Madawaska; eight grandchildren, Karen Petit and her husband Bill, Kevin Levesque and his wife Laura, Jason Levesque and his wife Christine, Lauren Santos and her husband Steve, Justin Levesque and his wife Eileen, Ashley Dickie and her husband Fred, Nathan Levesque and his wife Kate, Kassie Levesque; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Levesque and Alphena Lavoie and her husband Bertrand all of Connecticut; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her husband Rene Levesque, her son's companion, Rinette Deschaine, her grand-daughter's husband, Brandon Washburn; two sisters, Annette Beaulieu and Regina Lapointe; one brother, Leo Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 8:30am until 9:30am on Monday before the Mass. Spring interment will be held in the St. David Cemetery.
