IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Dee
(Mcgee) Wenger
August 30, 1942 – November 26, 2021
Madawaska--- Barbara Dee (McGee) Wenger passed away at her home on November 26, 2021. She was born pre-mature on August 30, 1942, in San Antonio, TX. She grew up in a military family, being stationed all around the world including England and Germany. She was married to an Air Force Enlisted man and raised David and Patricia primarily in Tampa, FL, though they were also stationed in CA, CO, TX, SC, and three years in Japan. She is survived by her son David McGee of Madawaska, and daughter Patricia Valentine of Asheville, NC. She has one granddaughter Janelle Lavoie of Grand Isle, 2 great grandchildren: Marylin and Elton Lavoie. Barbara only moved to Aroostook County in March of this year with her son, from Folsom, CA. She was so very happy to have had time with her grandkids before passing. During the 70's, Barbara went back to school to earn her high school diploma, going on to earn an associate degree in human services with a concentration in Psychology. She then went to work as a Mental Health Technician until retiring due to her health. Barbara was a very spiritual and private lady. She was a Catholic at heart and loved the traditions of the church. She was known for her great cooking, telling great stories and her ability to listen to people. She was a very empathetic woman and cared very much for others. Although Barbara suffered for many years from multiple medical issues, she died peacefully at home surrounded by her pets and her son, and caring staff of Hospice. Forever rest, mother. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
