IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara
Pelletier
January 26, 1951 – July 9, 2023
Frenchville– Barbara (Levesque) Pelletier, 72, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2023, at her home. She was born in Fort Kent on January 26, 1951, daughter of the late Edmund and Sadie (Theriault) Levesque.
Barbara married her husband Jim in 1969, celebrating nearly 41 years of marriage before his passing in 2010; they built a home and life together that they loved. She was a true farmer's wife always making sure breakfast, lunch, and dinner was ready. Working potato harvest alongside her husband and children made those long days in the field all worth it; creating memories that she cherished forever. She also worked at Rosettes for many years as a waitress before retiring to help care for her grandchildren. She loved passing the time doing random crafts like knitting and making quilts. She made everything from large afghans, wreaths, pichous, mittens, potholders, and even baby bibs; but also loved to collect and paint rocks. Planting her flowers in the summertime made her so happy, always making sure they flourished. Barbara's pets were always spoiled with lots of treats, cuddles and love. Her generosity and the love she had for her family was unmatched. Her grandchildren and great-grandson brought her so much joy, making sure all their needs were met.
Barbara is survived by her three children, Debbra McGlaughlin and her husband Earl of Frenchville, James Pelletier and Robin of Caribou, Jessie Pelletier of Bangor; three grandchildren, Sadie Lizotte and her husband Jake of Frenchville, Jonah Babin and his girlfriend Amber of Madawaska, Julian Babin of Frenchville; two bonus grandchildren, Elizabeth McGlaughlin, Ben McGlaughlin and his girlfriend Vivian; one great-grandson, Waylon Lizotte who was the light of her life; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Leo James 'Jim' Pelletier who she missed dearly for the last 13 years; one brother, Maurice Levesque; one sister, Francis Thibodeau.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St. Luce Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home in Fort Kent on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 6-8pm; and the morning of the service from 8-9:30am.
