Van Buren--- Barry S. Lease, 54, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2023, following a battle with cancer. He was born April 22, 1969, in Maryland, a son of Betty (Saville) Lease Hott and the late Vernon Lease.

Barry worked several years in Virginia working for several construction companies. Later he earned his CDL and took to the open road in tractor trailer. Barry's family was the center of his universe and loved embracing every moment with his wife watching his children grow. His heart was overfilled with joy as he welcomed his grandchildren, and cherished all the time he could spend with them. However, Barry's "pride and joy" was always his grand-dog, Sophie, and his family liked to joke that he spoiled the dog more than his own kids at times. He loved being outdoors and spent a lot of his time taking her out into nature to let her run freely.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Denise (Harper) Lease of Van Buren; his mother and step father, Betty Hott and her husband Earl of W. Virginia; two children, Scott Lease and his wife Linda of Caribou and Brittany Lease and her partner Hunter Carmichael of Van Buren; one brother, Richard Lease of Virginia; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alma and Robert Rossignol; and two grandchildren, Michael Lease and Carter Carmichael.
