Madawaska---Bartlo Sferrazza, 77, passed away on June 18, 2014 at a Frenchville health care facility. He was born in Yonkers, NY on May 21, 1937, son of the late Frank and Vincenza (DeAngelo) Sferrazza. Bart and his wife Murielle enjoyed traveling across the country. He liked hunting, fishing, boating, and camping in the great northern Maine woods. He also loved spending time with extended family and friends every Sunday for dinner. He retired from the United States Navy in 1974 after 20 years of service. He also retired from General Electric headquarters in Fairfield, CT in 1998. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 147 of Madawaska. He is survived by his beloved wife, Murielle (Hebert) Sferrazza of Madawaska; three daughters, Theresa Ciambriello and her husband Pasquele of Milford, CT, Michelle Santopietro and her husband Christopher of Wolcott, CT, Judy Companik and her husband Michael of Waterbury, CT; two sons, Bartlo Sferrazza, Vincent Sferrazza and his wife Sandy all of North Carolina; his foster daughter, Kayla Smilo of Waterbury, CT; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Sophie Montanarello of Florida; one brother, James Sferrazza and his wife Mary of California; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ida and Mary Ann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9am until 10:30am on Friday before the service.
