IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beatrice
Daigle
February 12, 1949 – April 28, 2025
Fort Kent---Beatrice "Bea" Marie Daigle, 76, of Fort Kent, Maine, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 12, 1949, to Rella and Sylvio Daigle, Bea spent nearly her entire life in the town she loved. She always knew she wanted to care for others. She followed that path to Mercy Hospital's School of Nursing in Portland, Maine, and went on to serve the community for 44 years at Northern Maine Medical Center. Whether in the ENT clinic or later in the Oncology department, Bea gave her heart to every patient she met, offering not just care but comfort and a memorable smile. In 1970, she married Ronald A. Daigle. Together, they raised three children, Pam Daigle Ault, Chuck (Lynn) Daigle, and Bill (Leslie Angel) Daigle. Nothing brought her more joy than being Memere to her five grandchildren: Abby, Camille, Curtis, Lauren, and Esmé. Bea's kindness, selflessness, and strength were felt by all who knew her. Her warmth touched everyone she met, whether in her professional life or gathered around the kitchen island at home, where everyone shared stories and laughter. She had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved—whether through her healing touch as a nurse, her thoughtful scrapbooks and sweaters, or her simple, steady presence. She especially loved summers at Cross Lake, where she made so many memories. She leaves behind not only her husband, children, and grandchildren, but also her dear sisters Lou Mae (Lee) Albert and Myrna (Raynold) Voisine, and her sisters-in-law Madeline (Paul) Plourde, Brenda (Robert) Daigle, and Jenny (Tim) Hartt. She was predeceased by her parents, Sylvio and Rella Daigle, and her sister Janice. Bea's legacy of compassion, dedication, and love lives on in the countless lives she touched. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 1 at St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bea's memory to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
