IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bernadette J.
Deschaine
June 26, 1925 – November 16, 2017
Fort Kent---Bernadette J. "Bea" Deschaine, 92, passed away on November 16, 2017 at a Frenchville health care facility with her family by her side . She was born in Eagle Lake on June 26, 1925, daughter of the late Thomas and Laudia (Belanger) Madore. She was blessed to have met and embraced many people throughout her life with a special few who helped her live as independently as possible in her later years. Her hands were always busy sewing, knitting and crocheting many different items to keep her family warm. She was an avid historian who shared a wealth of knowledge about her family and life experiences; and having been married to an avid sportsman, we are happy to say that mom has "cleaned" her last fish. She is survived by her five children; Tom Deschaine and his wife Judy of Fairfield, John Deschaine and his wife Jean of Limington, Deborah Beaulieu and her husband Raymond of Sidney, Janice Michaud and her husband Ray Ramirez of Wallagrass, Dawn Marie Lawson and her husband Eric of South Portland; 11 grandchildren, Jarrod, Amy, Tammy, Brian, Chad, Jamey, Jacob, Lance, Michael, Kelly, Ken; 12 great-grandchildren, Emily, Jack, Drake, Chase, Luke, Alana, Leah, Nathan, Alley, Abby, Josh, Rylan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernadette is predeceased by her husband Rosaire; one son-in-law David H. Michaud; one daughter-in-law Sandra Deschaine, and all of her brothers and sisters, all of whom she held close to her heart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the St. Louis Church. Family and Friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 9-10:45am the morning before the service. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bernadette's memory can be made to the St. John Vianney Parish Renovation Fund, 26 E. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743, or to St. Joseph Memory Care, 426 US Route 1, Frenchville, ME 04745 . For online condolences, please visit www.lajoiefuneralhome.com
