EAGLE LAKE/EASTPORT – Bernadette J. Mitchell, 96, died May 22, 2023, at the Northern Maine General/ Mercy Home.  She was born in Fort Kent on February 20, 1927, daughter of the late Alcide and Gertrude (Violette) Daigle. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Jones of Calais and Virginia Mitchell of Perry; three sisters, Wilma Petetabella of Presque Isle, Velma Boucher of Connecticut, and Violet Daigle of Fort Kent; one brother, Laurel Daigle of Fort Kent; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She is predeceased by her husband, Willard P. "Sonny" Mitchell; a daughter Bernadette Maddix; two sisters, Juliette McGlinn, Ramona Overton; four brothers, Elroy Daigle, Sherman Daigle, Vernon Daigle, and Vernal Daigle.   Funeral Services will be announced at a later date.  Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery, Eastport, Maine.  Thank you to all of the staff at the Northern Maine General/Mercy Home for taking such great care of her.
