Madawaska---Bernard L. Michaud, 70, passed away December 4, 2018 at a Bangor health care facility.  He was born in Edmundston, on November 27, 1948, a son of Roland L. and Fernande (Martin) Michaud Dube.  Bernard was drafted into the United States Army from 1969 to 1971, serving in the Vietnam War.  He loved working in his flower garden.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.  He is survived by his loving wife, Marcelle (Cloutier) Michaud; two daughters, Suzie Michaud-Paradis and her husband Denis, Jennie Beaulieu and her husband Gerry; two sons, Jeffrey Michaud and his wife Nikki Shields, Steve L. Michaud and his wife Amy Bellefleur; seven grandchildren, Savannah, Steffany, and Eden Paradis, Brady, Connor, Camden, and Logan Michaud; his mother, Fernande Dube and step-father, Claude Dube; two sisters, Bernette Picard and Brenda Bellantoni; one brother, Roland Michaud, Jr.; 10 sisters-in-law and eight brothers-in-law; sixteen nieces and eight nephews.  He was predeceased by his father, Roland L. Michaud; one son, Bernard Gerald Michaud, Jr.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the St. David Church.  Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 5-8pm on Sunday and from 8:30am until 9:30am on Monday.  Spring interment will take place in the Parish cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bern's memory may be made to Travis Mills Foundations for wounded Veterans, 89 Water St., Hallowell, ME 04347.  For online condolences, please visit www.lajoiefuneralhome.com
