St. David---Bernice G. Michaud, 78, passed away on February 24, 2011 at a Caribou health care facility. She was born in St. David on November 17, 1932 the daughter of Aubin and Delia (Cormier) Albert. Bernice owned and operated Al's Variety Store in St. David with her husband Albert for over twenty years. She loved gardening, cooking, and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family. Bernice was a communicant of St. David Church and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne for fifty two years. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Michaud of St. David, Arlene Michaud of Bangor; two sons, Raymond Michaud and his wife Sandy of South Burlington, VT, Donald Michaud of Presque-Isle; five grandchildren, Nicole, Chris, Cami, Angela, and Celeste; two great grandchildren, Maddox and Gage; her special daughter-in-law, Laurie Michaud of Presque-Isle; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert Michaud in December 2007; one sister, Blanche Martin; two brothers, Reno Theriault and Willard Theriault. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Tuesday at St. David Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until time of service. Interment will be in the spring.
