Madawaska—Bertha Deschenes, 91, Passed away peacefully at a Madawaska heath care facility. She was Born on February 27, 1930, to the late Armand and Alma (Beaulieu) Dionne. She was married to her husband, Leon Deschenes of 70 years, together they lived in Madawaska. She is Survived by one daughter, Pauline Chasse and her husband Gerard of Madawaska; one son, Don Deschenes and his wife Kim of Madawaska; three sisters, Claudette Gallant of Edmundston, Janine Fortier and her late husband Roland of Montreal, Carmen Boucher and her late husband Yvon of Edmundston; one brother Rino Dionne of Montreal; four grandchildren, Paul Chasse and his wife Chelsie of Madawaska, Scott Chasse of Connecticut, Matt Deschenes of Portland, and Tim Deschenes of Caribou; her great grandchild Ainsley Chasse of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. She is Predeceased by three sisters, Lucette Lavoie and her late husband Denis of Montreal, Yolande Vaillancourt and her late husband Giles of Montreal, Rita Bouchard and her late husband Rival of Connecticut; two brothers, Roger Dionne and his wife Gisele of Edmundston, Nelson Dionne and his late wife Bernice of Madawaska. Due to the current pandemic a graveside will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
