Obituary

Madawaska---Bertha M. Toussaint, 54, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 2, 2011. She was born in Eagle Lake on December 15, 1956, the daughter of the late Roland and Emelda (Ouellette) Toussaint. Bertha was very involved with the Christian Life Center, always cooking and organizing the many retreats. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and enjoyed singing during Mass for many years. She recorded an album, For His Glory, and performed many concerts throughout the state with her two beloved daughters. Bertha is survived by her loving husband of twenty two years, Louis Toussaint; her children, Chelsea and Meagan Toussaint, Keith Toussaint and his wife Maria, Tiarra Lavoie and her husband Joe, and Todd Toussaint and his companion Stacy Pelletier; her grandchildren, Raleigh and Ian Toussaint, Gavin and Shaye Toussaint, and Eva Mae, Josie, Ty, and Violette Lavoie; sisters, Lorraine Day, Anita Dunn, Lena Sirois and her husband Marcel, and Rella Poulin; brothers, Norman Toussaint and his wife Suzanne, Donald Toussaint and his wife Kathy, Daniel Toussaint and his wife Debbie; and her adopted brother, Kenneth Ouellette and his wife Donna. She was predeceased by one brother Willard Toussaint. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am on Wednesday at St. David Church., December 7, 2011. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until time of service on Wednesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
