Van Buren--- Betty Sirois, 83, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, with her loving family at her side. She was born March 31, 1940 in Norfolk, MA, a daughter of the late Victor and Victoria (Marchette) Carini.

Betty met the love of her life, Armand Sirois, while he was serving in the US Navy. The newlyweds relocated back to Armand's hometown of Van Buren where they eagerly built their family. She loved seeing her children grow and achieve and was an exceptionally proud Memere as her grandchildren and great grandchildren were born. Betty worked over 10 years with L'Acadie, Van Buren, and loved assisting the disabled with their day-to-day activities. She enjoyed busying her hands with a bit of crochet, but her favorite times were spending time with her grandbabies or babysitting them. She cherished the many memories created spending time with her growing family.

She is survived by five children, Betty Morrow Roy and her husband Ken, Joseph Sirois and his companion Chantel, Jeff Sirois, Cyndi Roy and her husband Jeannot, all of Van Buren, and Cheryl Lizotte of Presque Isle; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Armand J. Sirois, two sons, John and James Sirois, a son-in-law, Melvin Morrow, and one sister, Joan Wilcox.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
