Grand Isle/Springfield---Bonita Rachel Marie Damboise, 55, passed away suddenly on January 17, 2011 at her residence in Springfield. She was born in Quebec on April 2, 1955, the daughter of the late Rudolphe and Claudette (Neveu) Byram. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. There were many people in her life that she considered family and would never turn her back on. She always had a way of brightening a room and bringing a smile to your face. She was an active member in her community and enjoyed being in the church choir. She was very out-going and artistic. Bonnie is survived by Jeannot Damboise, Lenny Severance, her children, Eric Damboise and his wife Sharon, Amanda, Holly, and Crystal Damboise; Danny Severance, Bub Severance and his wife Heather; grandchildren, Oliviah, Claudia, Izabella, Kali, and Connor; her siblings, Mike Byram, Joey Byram, Lydia Gagnon, Daniel Byram, and Rudy Byram, Jr.; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, January 22 at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Friday and from 8:30am until time of service on Saturday.
