Grand Isle---Carl C. Dumond, 70, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025, at his home.  He was a 1972 graduate of Van Buren High.  He worked for various farmers while in school.  After graduating, he went to work in Connecticut where he worked as a roofer, as well as Pratt and Whitney until 1977.  He moved back to his family home to help take care of his aging parents.  He worked for ACAP winterization program as a carpenter.  He worked at Narif in Frenchville, where he retired early due to medical issues.  He will be greatly missed by his older brother, Wilson G. and his wife Ruth (Tardif) Dumond; his sister, Jeannine (Dumond) Cowie and her husband Michael; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He has now joined his older brother, Joseph Dumond (1973); his father, Wilson J. Dumond (1997), and his mother, Doris (Levesque) Dumond (2008).  In keeping with Carl's wishes, there will be no funeral services.  A burial will be held at the St. Gerard Cemetery in Grand Isle.
