Fort Kent-- Carlene Theresa (Cyr) Martin was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She left this world at peace and without pain on March 4 ^th , 2023.

She was born to Leo and Winnifred (Leblanc) Cyr on June 29th, 1935. After school she moved to Connecticut to start her life with her husband Beecher Martin. Together they had 5 children: Sharon, Brenda, Gayle, Darlene, and Dawn. Life's journey brought her back to the county where she ran a successful business in Hamlin Maine.

Carlene loved life and enjoying her time with friends and family. Her smile could light up a room and her laughter was contagious. Her kind heart was never-ending. She loved event planning, Holiday gatherings, staff festivities, celebrations, and family get-togethers. She would never sit down or stop placing and preparing, until the final person was served, and the table or buffet setting was perfect. She made the best lemon meringue squares, and her beef, and chicken stew were unforgettable. Her focus was always on others and making their life easier or less stressful. She looked for the good in everyone, and she reminded us often to do the same.
