August 16, 1936 – October 5, 2022
Carlene Thibeault – at age 86 passed into the loving arms of Jesus on October 5, 2022, while surrounded by her 5 loving children.
Over the last few years her faith in "God's Will Be Done", carried her through the trials of metastatic cancer. Her fleeting moments of discouragement were quickly replaced by her confidence in God's love and caring grace. She leaves us all with a glimpse of God's unending grace in human form. Forever positive, forever selfless, forever faithful. She was one of God's treasures.
Carlene was born August 16, 1936 and is predeceased by her brother Rudy, and her loving parents Denis and Estelle Picard. Carlene was also predeceased by her husband, Herman Thibeault. Together over a 62 year span they raised five children; Greg and Sue, Donna & Jim Roy, Elaine and Joel Pelletier, Denise & Rob Brookings and Bruce & Susie. Then they witnessed that love produce 13 grandchildren; Justin & Monica Roy, Heather Pelletier, Phillip & Amanda Roy, Dan & Jillian Roy, Travis & Bethany Pelletier, Sarah & Ryan Rancourt, Robby Brookings, Ashley Thibeault, Emily Brookings, Nicholas Thibeault, Erica Thibeault, Maddie Brookings and Andrea Thibeault. That love continued on for 5 great grand-children, Hannah, Brian, Matthew, Collette and Iris with one more great grand-son about to make his appearance.
Carlene had a bookkeeping degree from Husson College and worked the majority of her years for SAD #27. Her many talents include quilting, skiing, tennis, cooking and a passion for general fitness. She enjoyed daily walks outside until the last few months of her life.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29 th at 10:00 am at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent. Grave side burial will immediately follow and all are welcome to celebrate her life with family and friends over a light lunch. (location TBD)
