Obituary

Madawaska—Carmen (Saucier) Boucher, 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at NMMC. She was born on May 7, 1935 in Baker Brook, daughter of the late Wilfred and Anna (Martin) Saucier. Carmen worked at the Madawaska school cafeteria as head cook for 35 years until her retirement in 2005. She is survived by her five children, Paul Sr. Boucher and his wife Rose Marie of New Brunswick, Bob Boucher and his wife Diane of Madawaska, Diane McCormick and her husband Mike of Virginia, Donald Boucher of New Mexico, Susan Figg and her husband Michael of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren, Paul Jr. and Lynne Boucher, Jenny Gilmore, Jason and Shawn Boucher, Brittany McCormick, Nicholas and Joshua Boucher, Michelle Briggs, Jacob Figg; 17 great-grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart! Mikella Gagne, Piper Cantrell, Kristina and Alex Boucher, Ben and Bryn Gilmore, Joey and Riley Boucher, Owen Boucher, Isla and Madison Boucher, Clayton, Courtney, Cavan, Ciriana, Teyha and Tobi Briggs; one sister, Gertrude Belanger of Baker Brook. She was predeceased by her loving husband Clarence in 2012, two sisters, and five brothers. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10am Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the St. Thomas Church in Madawaska. Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie Funeral Home on Thursday from 8:30am-9:30am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
