Van Buren---Carmen T. Violette, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 19, 2013 at a Bangor health care facility. She was born in Van Buren on January 31, 1933, daughter of the late Anthelm and Emilienne (Collin) Dubay. With her family by her side, her last breath was taken, and she succumbed to heart failure. A heart that was full of generosity, laughter, and a love for her children and grandchildren that will be forever passed down and remembered. She touched many lives through her kind, giving spirit, and infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed by her children, Donald and his wife Nancy, David and his wife Gisele all of Van Buren, Lena and her husband Eric of Frederick, MD, James and his wife Diana, Paul and his wife Rebecca all of Westbrook, Rona of Presque-Isle, Gina and her husband Greg of Madawaska, Myra of Raymond, Raymonde "Nicky" and her husband James of Fairpoint, NY; two sisters, Rachel and her husband Arnold of Van Buren, and Martine of Winchendon, MA. She was the "best memere" to 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who "as they say in the book" loved her tremendously. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, son-in-law, John and her siblings Emilien, Rena, Reynold "Keno" and Raymond. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Breast Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 27th at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church in Van Buren. Interment will immediately follow the service in the St. Bruno-St. Remi Cemetery.
