Obituary

Fort Kent---Caroline (Kadi) O'Leary, 61, passed away on May 10, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.  Kadi had a larger-than-life personality, and you always knew when she was around.  In high school, she dominated the basketball courts, and played an instrumental role in the Allagash Bobcats winning two gold tournament balls.  She broke state records and was on the Maine All Start team all four years of high school.  She went on to get her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science at UMFK and then worked at AMHC as a social worker.  She was dedicated to her family and was willing to help anyone in need.  She had a huge heart, and you would often find her feeding the homeless, donating to causes she believed in, and she was always willing to help her friends in any way she could.  She is survived by her daughter, Shilo Biggs and her husband Martin and their children, Colin and Benjamin; her son, Patrick O'Leary and his wife Braigan and their children, Calvin, Colt, and Nizaire; one sister, Connie Deschaine and her husband Michael; three brothers, Dale O'Leary and his wife Daphne, Greg O'Leary and his wife Hui Cha, and Galen O'Leary and his wife Brenda; many nieces and nephews, whom she treated as if they were her own.  She was predeceased by her parents Calvin and Ruth O'Leary; a sister, Beatrice Gardner; and the love of her life, Frank Stratton.  Per her request, there will be no services except a small committal ceremony with her immediate family.  Donations in Kadi's memory may be made to the Autism Society of Maine, 72 B Main St., Winthrop, ME 04364.  Arrangement have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
