Grand Isle---Catherine C. Sirois 89, died peacefully at home in Grand Isle on May 10, 2013. She was born in Grand Isle on March 23, 1924 daughter of the late Johnny Cyr and Flavie Cormier. Her faith gave her strength as she faced declining health in recent years. She is survived by four sons; Albert Sirois, Jr & wife Jeanne of Nashua, NH, John & wife Joan of Nashua, NH, Dennis of Arizona, Paul & wife Cathy of Goffstown, NH. Nine daughters; Helene Marie of Grand Isle, Cecile LaPorte and friend Jim of Arizona, Jeanne & husband Peter Desjardins of Durham, ME, Catherine & husband Paul Erickson of Perham, MN, Ann Marie & husband Michael Lajoie of Cyr Plantation, Rita & husband Reed Beaulieu of Van Buren, ME, Louise & husband Yves LeClerc of Fredericton, NB, Canada and Pauline Sirois of Arizona, Paula & husband Terry Wilson of Newton, NJ; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one brother in law-Leo Paul & wife Matilda Sirois of Kissimmee, FL and six sisters-in-law; Therese Sirois & Anita Marquis, both of Arlington, MA, Juliet DeAngelis of Medford, MA and Sister Rita Sirois of Fiji Islands, Eva Levesque & husband Reno of Madawaska, and Joan Cyr of Van Buren. Catherine was predeceased by her husband Albert Sirois on 05/27/2003. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, May 15 at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Tuesday and from 8:30am until 9:30am on Wednesday.
