Van Buren--- Chanel Michaud, 75, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Van Buren healthcare facility. He was born July 13, 1944 in Van Buren, a son of the late Lionel and Anna Michaud.

Chanel was a hard worker delivering fuel and working at the local, former Kevlar Mill. He also owned a convenience store, Chanel's Variety, over 17 years.

The family extends a special thank you to Borderview, its staff, family, friends, camp neighbors, and special friends Bill Laplante and Mike Ouellette, for their dedicated care and support.

He is survived by: two children, Kelly Madore and her husband Chad of Rockledge, FL, and Amy Jandreau and her husband Rod of Mapleton; one sister, Rita Deschaine of Florida; three grandchildren, Miranda, Gabrielle and Eli Jandreau; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Chanel was predeceased by his wife, Joan (St. Pierre) Michaud, in 2009, and four siblings, Jeanine Vick, Ronald Michaud, Patrick Michaud, and Philip Michaud.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Saturday morning 9-9:45 AM at the church. Burial will be in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
