Madawaska--- Charles R. Albert, 68, of Madawaska died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, following a long illness. He was born May 5, 1945 in Madawaska, a son of Adrien and Alida (Gendreau) Albert. He worked almost 40 years with Fraser Paper as a clamp truck driver. He was a parishioner of St. David Catholic Church and a life-long Knights of Columbus member, 3rd degree, Council #2638, Madawaska. He enjoyed working around his property on the farm, tending to the cows and haying season. He also liked to tinker in his shop with any John Deere tractor he could get his hands on. He is survived by: his wife of 27 years, Jacqueline (Bellefleur) Albert; his mother, Alida Albert of Fort Kent; one daughter, Rebecca Treadwell and her husband Charles of Veazie; five siblings, Lorraine Brewer of Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada, Giselle Albert and Elizabeth Albert of Vernon, CT, Paul Albert and his wife Linda of Madawaska, and June Cowie and her partner David of Fort Kent; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by: his father; a sister, Mary Jeanne; a niece, Jenny Albert; and a brother-in-law, Charles Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, May 2, 2014, at St. David Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may greet the family Friday morning from 9 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
