Grand Isle---Claire L. Cote, 60, passed away December 17, 2014 at a Fort Kent health care facility, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Madawaska on July 28, 1954, daughter of the late Alfred and Noella (Dufour) Nadeau. Claire was a natural caretaker and took care of her mother until she passed. Claire lived for her family and enjoyed spending time with them and her many friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James Cote of Grand Isle; two daughters, Stephanie Cote and her companion Jillian and their son Dillon of Buffalo, NY, and Heather Bishop and her husband Jeff of Hampden; six sisters, Lucy Diaz of MA, Anges Wagner of NM, Irene Nadeau of OH, Claudette Lloyd of CT, Doris Lizotte of CT, Freda Farley of Washburn; two brothers, Rosaire Nadeau of CT and Andre Nadeau of MS; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five siblings, Juliette Lloyd, O'Neil Nadeau, Philip Nadeau, Real Nadeau, and Betty Ann Nadeau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Friday and from 8:30am until 9:30am on Saturday before the service.
