Fort Kent--- Clarence Charette, 83, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2021 with his family by his side, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born on November 30, 1938, son of the late Lionel and Ernestine (Gagnon) Charette. Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Gladys (Hebert) Charette; 8 children, Linda Bergeron of Massachusetts, Michael Charette and his wife Yvonne of South Carolina, Gail Levesque and her husband Wayne of Fort Kent, Clarence Charette Jr. and his wife Sarah of Indiana, Brenda Collins and her husband Peter of St. Agatha, Karen DuBois and her husband Ross of Madawaska, Carol Ouellette and her husband Dale of St. David, Don Charette and his wife Jennie of Frenchville; 3 siblings, Jackie Bouchard of Waterville, Phyllis Charette of Fort Kent, Gerald Charette and his wife Peggy of Fort Kent; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. Clarence is predeceased by his parents; one son in-law, Jim Bergeron; 2 infant siblings; 3 siblings, Richard Charette, James Charette (Yvette), Bernard Charette (Rinette). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2021, 10am at St. Louis church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 6-8pm, and the morning of the service from 8:30-9:30am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
