Fort Kent --- Clarence LeClair, 73, passed away at his residence on March 2, 2019. He was born on May 30, 1945, son of the late Philip and Marie Jeanne (Ouellette) LeClair. Clarence was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country. He was a member of the local American Legion Post 133, serving as Commander for many years and countless volunteer hours for the community. Clarence was a jack-of-all trades, who never stopped and was always willing to help anybody in need. He was a kind man who was always willing to go without to make sure that everyone else was taken care of. He always enjoyed being the life of the party and will be remembered for his infectious laugh. He enjoyed putting a smile on someone's face and took pride in making everyone happy. He loved being outside either fishing, building, or tending to his flowers. He was a proud family man who truly adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Louise (Deschaine) LeClair of Fort Kent; two children, April Leighton and her husband Russell of Madawaska, and Scott LeClair and his wife Amber of Fort Kent; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Samuel Dufresne, two step-grandchildren, Rylee and Shannon Leighton; two sisters; and five brothers; along with many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews, and amazing friends. Clarence is predeceased by one sister; and two brothers. In keeping with Clarence's wishes a private funeral ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family, with a celebration of life ceremony to be held at the Senior Citizens Center on March 9 at 6 pm.
