Ashland--- Clarice B. MacDonald, 93, peacefully entered into eternal life Monday, August 31, 2020, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born May 4, 1927 in Masardis, a daughter of the late George and Edwina (Libby) Burke.

She was the devoted wife of over 65 years to the late Chester MacDonald, who passed in 2010. She worked a short time in Bangor at the former Freezes Department Store. Her passion was her family and she cherished being able to stay home to care for her husband and raise her children. Clarice enjoyed keeping up with her yard and, rarely having idle hands, would tend to her beautiful flower gardens. Relocating to Ashland in 2015 and being closer to her son, she adored many visits from her grandchildren.

She is survived by: her son, Larry MacDonald of Ashland; a sister, Joy Phillips and her husband David of Ohio; four grandchildren, Melissa Lord, Matthew MacDonald, Shane MacDonald, and Christopher Michalka; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Clarice was predeceased by her husband, Chester, one son, William MacDonald, and two brothers, Bill and Robert Burke.

Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland.
